Ingredients

  • 10 oz about 300g milk chocolate chips
  • 2 oz about 55g crinkle-cut salted potato chips
  • Sea salt optional, for sprinkling

Equipment

  • Microwave-safe bowl or double boiler
  • Spatula
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Ziplock bag or piping bag (optional)

Method

  1. Prepare the Baking Sheet
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  3. Melt the Chocolate
  4. Place the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave at 50% power for 30 seconds, then stir. Continue heating in 15-second intervals, stirring each time, until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth.
  5. Crush the Potato Chips
  6. Place the potato chips in a ziplock bag and gently crush them into medium-sized pieces. You want to maintain some texture for that satisfying crunch
  7. Combine Chocolate and Chips
  8. Mix the crushed potato chips into the melted chocolate, ensuring they’re well-coated.
  9. Spread the Mixture
  10. Pour the chocolate-chip mixture onto the prepared baking sheet. Use a spatula to spread it into an even layer, about ¼ inch thick.
  11. Add Finishing Touches
  12. If desired, sprinkle a pinch of sea salt over the top for an extra flavor boost.
  13. Chill the Bark
  14. Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes, or until the chocolate is firm.
  15. Break into Pieces
  16. Once set, remove the bark from the refrigerator and break it into pieces of your desired size. Store in an airtight container.
