Ingredients

  • 2 pounds of potatoes Yukon Gold or Russet, washed and cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 packet of Lipton Onion Soup Mix
  • 1/3 cup of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon of dried rosemary optional
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)
Preheat the Oven
  • Begin by preheating your oven to 400°F 200°C. This ensures that it’s at the right temperature when you’re ready to bake the potatoes.
Prepare the Potato Mixture
  • In a large mixing bowl combine the olive oil, Lipton Onion Soup Mix, garlic powder, and dried rosemary. Mix until well blended.
Coat the Potatoes
  • Add the cubed potatoes to the bowl tossing them thoroughly to ensure each piece is evenly coated with the seasoning mixture.
Transfer to Baking Dish
  • Lightly grease your baking dish to prevent sticking. Spread the seasoned potatoes evenly in the dish ensuring they are in a single layer for uniform cooking.
Bake
  • Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and place it in the preheated oven. Bake for 30 minutes.
  • After this initial baking period remove the foil, stir the potatoes to promote even browning,
  • and continue baking uncovered for an additional 15 minutes or until they are golden brown and tender when pierced with a fork.
Serve
  • Once baked to perfection remove the dish from the oven. Let the potatoes cool slightly before garnishing with freshly chopped parsley. Serve warm.
