Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 18, 2026
CookClear does not ask you to create an account, sign up for anything or give us your name to read the site. This policy explains the limited information that is collected when you visit, who collects it, and the choices you have.
Information collected automatically
Like nearly every website, our hosting server keeps standard log files when you visit. These logs can include your IP address, browser type, the page you requested, the page that referred you and the date and time of the visit. We use them to keep the site running, fix errors and protect against abuse. They are not used to identify you personally.
Information you send us
If you use our contact form, we receive the name, email address and message you enter. If you email us at ask@cookclear.com, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message. We use it only to reply and to improve the site. We do not sell it, add you to a mailing list, or share it with advertisers.
Cookies and advertising
CookClear uses Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners, as third party vendors, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites.
Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to CookClear and other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info.
To learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you will be asked for consent before personalized ads are shown, through a consent tool provided by Google.
Other services on the site
- YouTube videos. Each page shows a preview image of its video, which loads from YouTube's image server (i.ytimg.com). The video player itself only loads when you press play, and it uses YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). Once a video plays, YouTube, a Google service, may set cookies and collect data under the Google Privacy Policy.
- Google Fonts. Our fonts are delivered by Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers and shares your IP address so the fonts can load.
- Analytics. If we add a visitor statistics tool such as Google Analytics, we will update this policy to say so before it goes live.
Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site works the same without them, although you may see less relevant ads.
Your California privacy rights
If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives you the right to know what personal information is collected about you, to request that it be deleted or corrected, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross context behavioral advertising. We do not sell personal information for money. Advertising cookies set by Google may count as sharing under California law, and you can opt out using the Google Ads Settings link above or by turning on Global Privacy Control in your browser. To make a request, email ask@cookclear.com. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
Children
CookClear is written for a general adult audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Links to other sites
Our pages link to outside sources such as the USDA, FDA and video channels. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
